Practical strategies for real-life challenges.
Research-based therapy for kids, teens, parents, and adults dealing with ADHD, autism, and oppositional behavior. Focused, direct, and built around a clear goal — so you know what we're working on and when we're done.
Three ways in.
Most families come to me after they've already tried the charts, the lectures, and the consequences. The problem usually isn't effort. It's that the tools don't match how the brain in front of them actually works.
Parents of kids with ADHD, autism, or ODD
Meltdowns, morning battles, homework standoffs, defiance that feels personal. For younger kids, we work directly on what you do as parents — because that's the part you control, and it's what drives real change at home.
Teens who are stuck
Missed assignments, blowups at home, low motivation, a sense they're "just lazy." Practical planning, self-regulation, and figuring out what actually matters to them.
Adults with ADHD
You know what to do. Doing it is the problem. We build external systems for time, tasks, and follow-through — and work on the frustration that builds up after years of trying harder.
A defined arc, not open-ended sessions.
Treatment here has a beginning, a middle, and an end. We set targets you can measure, work toward them, and wrap up when we hit them.
Free 15-min consult
A quick call to hear what's going on and see whether I'm the right fit. No obligation.
Assessment
We identify the specific situations where things fall apart and the skills that are lagging behind.
Plan & practice
Concrete strategies, tried at home between sessions, adjusted based on what actually happens.
Measured finish
When the numbers show the change is holding, we're done. Most families finish in 3–6 months.
What we track
Progress is measured by what's happening at home, not by how a session felt. Depending on your goals, that might include:
Grounded in research that holds up.
No single model fits every family. I draw on four that consistently work for this population.
Barkley's executive function model
ADHD is a problem of doing what you know, not knowing what to do. Make time visible, get information out of the head, act instead of lecture.
Collaborative Problem Solving
Dr. Ross Greene's insight: kids do well if they can. Oppositional behavior signals lagging skills — so we solve problems with kids, not to them.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Less fighting with frustration, guilt, and anxious thoughts. More energy for what matters.
Logotherapy
Viktor Frankl's focus on meaning and purpose — especially useful for teens and adults who've lost track of why any of this matters.
Straightforward, private-pay rates.
You know the cost up front. No surprise bills.
Therapy session
- Secure telehealth across Michigan
- Kids, teens, parents, and adult ADHD
- Typically weekly to start, then tapering
IEP & MDR meetings
- Includes record review & prep, travel time, a 15-min parent pre-meeting, and the meeting itself
- Typical IEP: $550–$750
- Typical MDR: $750–$1,050
- I attend in person whenever possible
- Beyond 20 miles from Holly: $1.50/mile round-trip for the extra distance
Payment is due at the time of service (HSA/FSA cards accepted). For school meetings, you'll receive an estimate beforehand and your final bill reflects actual time spent. A sliding scale is available for families who need it — ask during your consult. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.
Better to know now.
Good fit if you…
- Want practical tools, not just a place to vent
- Are willing to try things between sessions and report back honestly
- Want clear goals and a defined endpoint
- Are dealing with ADHD, autism, ODD, or explosive behavior — diagnosed or suspected
- Live in Michigan and can meet by video
Probably not the right fit if…
- There's active custody litigation. For work involving a child, I need consent from both parents or legal guardians, and any divorce must be finalized.
- You're looking for someone to testify, evaluate, or take a side in a family dispute
- You need crisis or emergency care
- You're outside Michigan

Two decades of the hard cases.
I've worked in mental health for over twenty years — starting as a case manager on an assertive community treatment team, then as a clinician working with children, teens, and families. Most of my work now centers on ADHD, autism, and oppositional behavior.
I've presented ADHD trainings for school districts and been asked back more than once. I sit in on IEP meetings in person whenever I can, because what happens at school and what happens at home have to line up.
My style is direct. I'll tell you what I'm seeing, what the research says, and what I think will help. Then we test it in your actual life and adjust.
Start with a free 15-minute call.
Tell me what's going on. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help — and if I'm not the right fit, I'll try to point you somewhere that is.
When you first reach out, a brief note is plenty. Please save clinical details for our call.
